Edmonton Band Trip May 20-23, 2020
This year, the BJHS Senior Concert Band and BCHS Senior Concert Band will be traveling to Edmonton on an educational performance tour in May 2020. This tour will include stops at Heritage Park in Calgary, the Alberta Legislature, The Royal Alberta Museum and other activities. Performances will take place at the Legislature, local schools and Heritage Park. We are currently seeking 5 parents to serve as chaperones for this trip (4 females and 1 male). Please consider if you wish to be involved in that capacity. Chaperone cost will be less than the student cost as the NCBA will cover transportation costs for all eligible parent volunteers. At this time, we require all students who plan to join us to submit their signed permission form and a $100 nonrefundable registration fee to attend this trip. Any student who is in grade 8 or 9 Band and plan to attend needs to submit the permission form by Oct 31st, 2019. This deposit will be considered a down payment for the trip and will be deducted from the trip cost. Make any cheques payable to the NCBA or use School Cash online. All deposits are non-refundable. Estimated total trip cost per student is $370. If the student and/or parents participate in our fundraisers, their costs will reduce. This trip includes • Private charter bus (2 x 48 seaters) 3 nights moderate hotel accommodation in Edmonton. • Breakfasts • One group Dinner • Four Performances • Entrance to the Telus World of Science. • Entrance to the World Waterpark at West Edmonton Mall. • Tour of Legislature Buildings. • Tour at the Royal Alberta Museum. • Laser Tag (2-3 games per person).
