BJHS Newsletter for the week of June 2-6 .
5 months ago, Brooks Junior High School

Tomorrow is our Track Meet, but things look slightly different this year.
Since we have no field and track due to the ongoing school construction, the annual BJHS Track Meet will be held in Duchess this year!
Date: Thursday, May 15th (rain or shine)
Students will be bussing there and back with staff supervisors. They need to be at school ON TIME for school so that they do not miss the bus. We cannot wait.
Parents are able to pick up their own children in Duchess if they wish, but students must let their bus supervisor know. Parents can only take their OWN child.
We will be back for the regular bus at the end of the school day.
What to pack:
The weather is looking a little glum. It is supposed to be high of 13 and windy (maybe rainy?) Who knows....it is springtime in Alberta.
Wear: shorts, T-shirt
Bring: sweat pants, hoodie, extra socks, hat, windbreaker or rain jacket if you have one
B
ring: bug spray, sunscreen, water bottle
food and snacks, there is a concession as well
a towel or blanket to sit on when waiting for events?
What NOT to bring:
chairs and tents. We have no room on the buses and they won't be allowed. Parents may bring these and pick them up if they wish.
There will be Porta Potties on site as well as the Water Pure and Simple Hydration Station Trailer.
Students not attending the Track Meet will be at BJHS with staff during the day. Like always, if your child is absent, PLEASE CALL THEM IN.
We are looking forward to a great day!
